What do we treat?
We are able to help with and diagnose a number of bodily pains, but some examples of conditions that we get good results with include:
Neck pain, back pain, headaches, sciatica, disc injuries, shoulder injuries, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel, tendonopathy, hip and knee pain, shin splints and more.
Is Chiropractic treatment safe?
Chiropractors are university trained primary care practitioners. We know when a treatment is safe or unsafe to do. We use many different treatment techniques and will only choose to utilise ones that are safe for your and that you are comfortable with. As with any medical intervention, there are risks involved with each kind of treatment technique, but we will make you aware of these before performing any.
Can I claim treatments with my private health insurance?
You sure can! Each health fund and plan gives different amounts, so you will have to check with your fund to find out exactly how much you get back.
What can you expect in the first visit
We will ask you some questions about your issue, perform a comprehensive examination, provide a treatment and give any applicable advice and exercises.
You can expect treatment at your first treatment unless it would be dangerous to do so or further imaging is needed.
Will you only crack my back?
We utilise many different treatment techniques, including spinal adjustments, and will utilise a number of them at each treatment and only ones that are indicated and you are comfortable with. This includes; manipulations, soft tissue release (massage), dry needling, fascial release, mobilisations and exercise rehab.
How often do I need to come and for how long?
Our aim is to get you better as quickly as possible and then give you strategies to help yourself. While we can’t give you exact time frames without knowing what the issue is, you can rest assured that we want you fixed as soon as possible. It is then up to you if you would like to come periodically or use self management strategies that you have been given.
